Hop on board with our new blog series: Keep Calm and Travel On. Experience a field trip guide to our favorite Charlotte businesses, restaurants, hotels, organizations, and all stops in between. I love traveling, supporting other small businesses, and networking with others who are passionate about their work and community, so follow our adventures below.
1st stop: The Jimmy
Ā We hopped on the bus for a lunch break. The Jimmy is a neighborhood restaurant that takes its nod from the Mediterranean coasts of Italy and France. Think casual, sun-kissed elegance with an easy-going pace. Sit on their gorgeous, covered patio to enjoy homemade pizzas with dough from their restaurant group, Copain Bakery, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. Our advice? Try a little bit of everything and share. We chose the Jimmy Chop Salad, Arugula & Farro Salad, Margherita pizza, and Chicken Panini with seasoned chips, and we could not pick a favorite. We loved every bite! A great spot for ladies who lunch, happy hour, or an intimate dinner for two.
**BONUS: After lunch, walk to Reidās Fine Foods, a specialty food store with superior meats, wines, regional provisions, locally grown produce, and seasonally fresh meals. Try The Whole Hope Lemon Swirls for a daily dose of self-care that includes frozen swirls of organic lemon, ginger, and turmeric juice to flavor your water, tea, soups, and a cocktail mixer!

Speaking of self-care, walk across the street to Ā Woo Skincare & Cosmetics for the ultimate pampering experience for high-quality makeup, skincare, and spa treatments. From recognized brands to niche lines, Woo adds collections, so thereās always something new. The staff is wonderful and makes you feel comfortable upon arrival. With local ownership and in-store expertise, you will leave happy and refreshed with your next spa service in the books!

Ā 3rd stop: Coco Leto
Donāt forget the littles! Walk to Coco Leto, a bright, modern, and fun childrenās boutique. As a mom to three girls, I love finding pieces that represent the girlsā personalities. Coco Leto provides individuality and confident kids through expressive fashion. Their timeless quality pieces and comfort allow kids to freely discover, play, dance, live, and dream. The owners and employees are so helpful and welcoming. Also, stay tuned for an upcoming Erin McDermott Jewelry X Coco Leto pop-up where you can shop both brands in person. Details forthcoming. We canāt wait to see you!

Final Stop: The UPS Store
Our final stop included my favorite UPS store. The staff (shoutout to Moo) is amazing at what they do. They're kind, efficient, quick, and go above and beyond at helping customers. Although they are a busy shop, it is a very pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this UPS location for all of your shipping, packaging, and printing needs.
