This photo from 10 years ago at the Charlottesville Farmers Market. Today is small business Saturday. I’ve been thinking a lot today...I never had a goal in mind when I started my jewelry business. I didn’t have a business plan, didn’t go to business school, and didn’t have parents who paved the way for me. What I did have was a dream & a lot of hustle. I knew that the time I spent making and designing jewelry felt good. Time passed quickly when I was in my studio & it remains to be a place I feel confident, productive, creative and just completely, ME. Erin McDermott Jewelry is something inside of me that continually needs to come out...it’s a passion I’m thankful for and it has a life if it’s own. To this day, I still don’t have a business plan...I just wake up every morning & know it’s part of me. It needs to be nurtured and loved and it’s worth the early mornings and sleepless nights. It’s given me the opportunity to connect with friends like you & for that, I am eternally grateful.
