Denim Button Downs

A few months ago I bought a fitted denim button down shirt to wear with white jeans but I’ve been wanting to match it up with some other outfits. Naturally, I turned to some of my fave blogs for inspiration of other outfits that would look cute with denim button downs…what do you think? Do you like the look of a cute denim shirt tucked into a skirt?

Houndstooth

A few weeks ago I was shopping in one of my favorite stores in Charlotte, Cottage Chic, and came across a cute & cozy houndstooth blanket. I planned on giving it to my older sis for Christmas, but I couldn’t resist the temptation of  unwrapping it the second I got home and squeezing in a little snuggle session.  Looks like I’m going to have refer to plan B for her gift. Since then, I’ve been spotting houndstooth everywhere & i’m really getting into it. Here are a few of my faves:

happy friday!

Fall is in the air & I can’t wait to start layering! Here are a few fun ideas of different ways to tie a scarf.

Helena de Natalio

I love the way Helena de Natalio uses such soft, buttery, and playful leathers. I’m crazy about my black bag that I’ve used nearly everyday for the past 2 years & it’s just getting better with time. Helena uses exotic materials to design her clutches and gathers inspiration from her travels through South America while she was volunteering for the Peace Corps. These little foldover clutches on on my wish list…

Everywhere I go, I gravitate towards turquoise! I love these little hints.

A perfect day strawberry picking…

I was so happy to receive this photo the other day of my friend, Kara, wearing the Open Circle earrings while she was strawberry picking with her daughter. It’s always fun to see my jewelry in an “action” shot!  Thanks to Sarah Cramer for capturing the moment!

Earnest Alexander

The bag and accessory company, Earnest Alexander,  was sent to me by one of me by one of me oldest and dearest friends, Jane-Garnet (yes, the Jane-Garnet earrings are named after her.) The chica has impeccable taste, so when she sent over this link, I knew I had to take a few moments to scroll.  She describes the bags as, “They are like Barbour (waxed cotton), meets Ralph Lauren, meets NYC hipster.”  It’s not surprising that I found several totes that I’m coveting. Swoon.

live-in sweatshirt

It’s been cold and rainy all weekend, and if I had this sweatshirt, i’d be wearing it right now…

Summer Scarves

I’m totally crushing on these scarves from Liberty London.  The colors are definitely giving me some design ideas for jewelry this summer!

nice shades

My Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer sunglasses are my favorite pair of sunglasses & I rarely leave home without them…however,  I’ve got my eye on these handcrafted shades from Portland, Oregon.  They are all made from Maplewood, East Indian Rosewood, or Zebrawood.  They remind me of the old-school Ray-Bans but have a little twist to them.

Rabbit Rabbit

At the first of ever month, my older sister & I send each other a “Rabbit Rabbit” gift in the mail (one of the highlights of the month!!)  Lauren lives in Dallas &  shares my love of flipping through magazines and dog-earring our favorite styles, home-goods, products, and fashions.  It always gives me a thrill to see the package arrive on my doorstep!!  I get so excited to open the surprise package  & see what my sister has picked out for the selection of the month!  I loved this month’s “Rabbit-Rabbit” gift…a soft Splendid circle scarf (it’s so comfortable, I almost slept in it last night.)

browns, greens & khaki…

I found these lovely items and I just had to post them together…maybe because they are all in the same color palate or maybe because I’d wear the whole ensemble together. Either way, wouldn’t these be the perfect pieces to wear at the airport waiting for a flight to Madrid?

a few additions to the wish list…

This elephant scarf to wear with a red cashmere sweater, jeans, & black wedges

This yummy lip balm

This luscious candle

it’s chilly outside!

It’s holiday season & you can feel it in the air.  It’s time to cozy up underneath some warm blankets…here are a few I love!

These household lovelies caught my eye…

Chinese stools to place stacks of art books, this John Derian tray beside my bed to hold my jewelry &  Syracuse Haviland China to serve poached pears with caramel sauce.

i very much love…

Dear cute blazer + coral leather bag + brown leather moccasins,
Please go on sale.  It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Erin

Navajo Prints

My interest in Navajo Prints started last month while I was shopping at Free People & spotted this sweater.  I thought to myself, “Erin, that’s something you need this winter  to cuddle in with a mug of hot chocolate & a good book (add a blazing fire in the fireplace and we’re golden.)  I made the purchase & I couldn’t even wait for the cold winter to hit before I whipped  out the “navajo sweater.”  Good purchase, I thought to myself.  So, I got to thinkin’….let’s see what other navajo inspired treasures are out there this season….here are a few that caught my eye!

Oh. Hello Monday.

I’m feeling a little like the girl in this photo this Monday morning.  I’m currently all wrapped up in a million layers &  my hands are wrapped around a steaming cup of coffee.   I’m ready to buckle down, get to my design table and start cranking out some jewelry…
